A Flower Preservation Studio Created for Bow Valley Weddings

Cariad Flower Preservation was created in Canmore for flowers that carry meaning — bridal bouquets, engagement blooms, memorial flowers, milestone arrangements and the moments people want to hold onto.

Rooted in the Bow Valley and shaped by the wedding industry here, Cariad brings local flower preservation to Banff, Canmore, Lake Louise and Canadian Rockies celebrations. Each piece is artist-led, handcrafted in resin and made with care for the flowers, the memory and the person they belong to.

Cariad is a Welsh word meaning “love” or “beloved” — a name chosen by founder Caitlin as a nod to where she was born: Wales. Now based in Canmore, Caitlin created Cariad Flower Preservation after working as a coordinator with Elope in Banff and seeing how often couples searched for a local way to preserve their wedding flowers.

With a lifelong love for crafts and exploring new creative mediums, Caitlin began experimenting with flower drying and resin preservation. Through many trials, tests and refinements, Cariad has grown into an artist-led studio focused on handcrafted floral keepsakes for Banff, Canmore, Lake Louise and Bow Valley weddings.

At its heart, Cariad is about celebrating meaningful moments and the flowers connected to them. From bridal bouquets and engagement blooms to memorial flowers, graduation arrangements and milestone florals, Caitlin loves helping people preserve the flowers that carry a story… turning them into resin pieces that keep the memory of the day close.

“From start to finish, working with Zulima was pleasant and stress free. The florals for the wedding were perfect and beyond what we could have imagined.”
